Making Jigsaw Renaissance a safe space for everyone is one of our top priorities. If you do not fully understand this, read the document below.

This document will be posted online at http://wiki.jigren.org/index.php?title=Safe_space_agreement and in the space near the entrance. It is your responsibility to be aware of any and all changes to this document when they occur and to instigate changes to this policy as necessary.

If you feel like insulting anyone because of who they were, who they are, or who they are becoming, then this is not the space for you. Jigsaw Renaissance is an inclusive space. Failure to uphold this intention has consequences outlined below.

As a participant at Jigsaw Renaissance, you agree to respect everyone including members, guests, and participants. This respect will extend to everyone regardless of level of experience, level of ability, level of interest, gender, gender expression, sexuality, age, race, creed, color, origin, or personal experience.

Members and participants are expected to resolve their own conflicts when at all possible. If attempts at resolution fail to resolve any conflict, please enlist unbiased parties to assist. If there continues to be an issue, notify the board.

Demonstrated inability to respect any person, any member, or the space can result in expulsion from Jigsaw Renaissance.

Violence or threats of any kind can result in immediate ejection and revocation of membership without refund of dues. If you carry an instrument which is commonly seen as a weapon, please Peacebond it at the door the first time you bring it into the space. This means you declare the tool and your intentions behind it. If it continues to make someone in the space uncomfortable, please place it in a secure location.

Petitions for readmittance may be considered by the Board.

Any situation not covered in this document will be resolved by the Director or other Board members.
